AIKAN ACTS MASTERCLASS — SPECIAL GUEST TERRELL REID!

Actors, this is your opportunity to learn directly from a filmmaker who understands what happens on both sides of the camera.

Aikan Acts is excited to welcome Director • Writer • Producer TERRELL REID for a special virtual masterclass!

 WEDNESDAY
8:00 PM – 9:00 PM ET
LIVE VIRTUAL MASTERCLASS

Terrell Reid is a filmmaker, writer, director, and producer from Delaware County whose journey into entertainment was inspired by filmmakers including Spike Lee and John Singleton, along with the mentorship of Jamal Hill.

Terrell has continued developing stories across multiple genres with an emphasis on creating authentic, relatable characters.

In 2023, Terrell wrote, directed, and executive produced the feature film KARMA. His production brought together a cast that included Erica Pinkett, Tray Chaney, Marc John Jeffries, Aisha White, and Aikan Acts founder Nakia Dillard.

THIS IS MORE THAN A Q&A. THIS IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN FROM A WORKING FILMMAKER.

During this Aikan Acts Masterclass, our actors will have the opportunity to hear Terrell discuss:

The director's perspective on actors and auditions
What filmmakers look for in a performance
Bringing characters from the page to the screen
The realities of independent filmmaking
Writing, directing, and producing your own projects
Building professional relationships in the industry
What makes an actor memorable to a director
Plus a live Q&A with our Aikan Acts actors

At Aikan Acts, we believe actors shouldn't only learn how to perform—they should understand the business and filmmaking process happening around their performance.

Having access to working directors, writers, producers, casting professionals, agents, and other industry professionals helps our actors continue building their knowledge, preparation, confidence, and professionalism.

Aikan Acts students — come prepared with your questions!

You never know which conversation, lesson, or relationship will give you another tool for your journey.
